Micronova provides two types of services for last-mile connections

Micronova-provides-two-types-of-services-for-last-mile-connections
Micronova's Last Mile Connection Based on the customer requirement Micronova Provides Internet Leased Line either on Fiber or RF. In the case of RF, the link would be established from the nearest PoP. The PoP is connected via fiber with redundancy from Micronova Major PoP. As related to Fiber connectivity to the customer place would be through Telco’s fiber backbone from Micronova NOC. In both cases, Micronova takes care of end to end ownership of the Last-mile & ILL Bandwidth.

Types of services for last-mile connections provided by Micronova

  • Through Optical Fiber
  • Through Radio Frequency

How Fiber Optics work

Fiber optic technology uses light as a medium to carry data which is fast and error-free. Micronova provides connectivity on fiber up to gigabit capacity on ring architecture with multiple redundancies. The advantages of fiber is low latency which supports good video & audio services and also supports mission-critical application – latency insensitive application. Micronova has partnered with all major Telco’s to provide carrier-class last-mile. These networks are built with self-healing technology (A self–healing ring, or SHR, is a telecommunications term for loop network topology, a common configuration in telecommunications transmission systems, Like roadway and water distribution systems, a loop or ring is used to provide redundancy. SDH, SONET, and WDM systems are often configured in self–healing rings.) The above technology help in providing reliable uninterrupted internet services.

Radio Frequency Technology:

This is one technology used for last-mile connectivity. Today technology improvement in the field of RF helps us in providing connectivity up to 300 Mbps in a 10 Kms radius. Micronova has built PoP is strategic locations across the city with fiber connectivity from the main PoP with resiliency. RF Technology needs a proper site survey and RF design to provide a trouble-free Internet leased line. Micronova has a full-fledged expert team in RF technology that maintains close to 500 RF links.

Flexible Services

We provide regular and flexible bandwidth on demand. It is possible because, at the time of installation, we take future requirements of the customer and install devices that can carry more bandwidth than the present requirement. By doing so, we can increase the bandwidth connectivity at times of need enabling us to provide higher capacity instantaneously with lesser turnaround time.

Redundant internet connection

Dual internet connection, dual WAN, or redundant internet connection refers to using two physical WAN interfaces to connect to the Internet at the customer end. Dual internet connections can be used in three ways:
  • Redundant interfaces, should one interface go down, the second automatically becomes the main internet connection.
  • For load sharing to ensure better throughput.
  • A combination of redundancy and load sharing.
